Safeguarding procedures are fully embedded into our practice and align with school and local authority expectations.

• Enhanced DBS checked

• Safeguarding training kept up to date

• Clear safeguarding procedures followed at all times

• Any concerns are reported immediately in line with school safeguarding policies

• Close communication maintained with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Safeguarding arrangements are discussed with schools prior to delivery to ensure clarity and consistency.

Health & Safety

All sessions are carefully planned and risk-managed to ensure pupils can participate safely while still benefiting from appropriate challenge and outdoor learning experiences.

• Comprehensive risk assessments in place for all activities

• Dynamic risk assessments carried out during sessions

• Clear safety boundaries and expectations shared with pupils

• Activities adapted to suit age, ability and individual needs

Risk assessments are reviewed regularly and shared with schools as part of our compliance process.

Qualifications & Experience

Our provision is delivered by an experienced outdoor education practitioner with a strong background in school-based work.

• Degree in Outdoor Education

• Forest School level 3 Practitioner

• Over 12 years’ experience in outdoor education

• Extensive experience working within school settings

• Significant experience supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs

• First Aid trained (Pediatric & Outdoor)

Insurance

• Fully insured with Public Liability Insurance

• Insurance documentation available on request

We maintain a full School Compliance Pack, which can be provided to schools as a PDF.

This includes:

• Safeguarding policy

• Health & safety policy

• Risk assessments

• Insurance documentation

• DBS confirmation

• Qualifications and certificates

All documentation is kept up to date and can be shared prior to delivery.

We work closely with school staff to ensure our provision integrates smoothly into existing safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion systems.

• Professional conduct at all times on school sites
